Einige Gedanken, die mir in der letzten Zeit durch den Kopf gegangen sind, haben nun endlich zu einer Entscheidung geführt: Seit Ende Juni heißt es “Game Over”.

DSL, DSQV & RP: Beendigung meiner Schiedsrichtertätigkeit.
Die genauen Gründe werden zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt folgen. Der Hauptpunkt für mich ist, dass ich zwei Dinge aus meinem Leben verbannt habe, die keinen wirklichen Wert mehr für mich haben.
Mein Coaching & teaching werde ich künftig auf die Personen konzentrieren, die bereit sind zu lernen, sich zu verbessern und unseren tollen Sport zu genießen – unabhängig von ihrem derzeitigen Können.

The whys and wherefores shall follow in detail at a later date, but the main point is I have removed two things out of my life that no longer have any real value to me!
My coaching and teaching skills shall be purely concentrated on all those who are wishing to learn, improve and enjoy our Great game of Squash, regardless of their current ability.

Once again many Congratulations to Germanys two top ladies on their success in 2010 Masters – I wish Sabine and Simone all the best for the defence of their titles and Manuel a podium position in 2012.
I’m looking forward to seeing lots of you there – as I shall be going!!!
The Bundesliga match in Worms last night was rather disappointing – Ben Petzold on position four for Stuttgart is showing signs of a marked improvement but Carsten Schoor is still too strong for him and took the victory 3/1.
André Haschker and Jens Schoor (B&W-Worms) were far too strong on positions three and two for their Stuttgart opponents and never looked to be in any danger of losing – but Moritz Dahmen and Patrick Gässler were showing usual form for this time of the season – no signs of being fit, motivated or interested -maybe they are waiting for the playoffs, if they make it???
Finally; Davide, davide :0( dropping in the world rankings – I know last year was a bad one for you (health and Injury) but no heart, passion and once again a broken (destroyed) racket – seemed to be his only one? Where is the team spirit and the professional attitude – the beginning of a sad end???
Not everybody goes out like the “Great Jonathon Power” – one of the all time greats!!!

The newly named European Champions Cup started today at midday at the Landala Squash Centre in Sweden with the official “Opening Ceremony”, so that the first matches could then take to the courts at 13:00. Both Black and White Worms and Paderborn Squash Club are here trying to take the title and the trophy back to Germany.

Yesterday Squash was given the cold shoulder from the IOC and that not for the first time. Sad for all us “Squashers” but unfortunately it was most probably the only decision that they could come to.

Letzten Freitag habe ich meinen Geburtstag gefeiert – wie bei squashnet zu lesen war. Ich habe mit der Black & White Worms ein erfolgreiches Wochenende hinter mir. Wenig Zeit zum Party machen, aber das hole ich am kommenden Wochenende nach.
