Decisions in life make the difference 13. December 2007
Well done Simon Rösner for his extremely creditable performance at the 21st World Team Championships 2007. He played with great success in all seven matches of the event.
With four victories over Alexi Severinov (RUS), Olli Tuominen WRL17 (3/2), Kashif Shuja WRL40 (3/0), and Dick Lau WRL93 (0/3), and three losses against Amr Shabana WRL1 (1/3), Nick Matthew WRL5 (0/3), Amir Atlas Khan WRL28 (1/3) he has clearly shown that his squash abilities are still growing and that the improvements are bringing him nearer to his desired ambition.
The decision that he made more than five years ago, and has followed constructively ever since, to make squash his life’s work has brought him this far. I believe that his passion and conviction for the squash sport is so strong that he shall go as far as he believes and is ready to work for.
Why? Because like my coach taught me
- “Decision = to cut of from any other possibility”.
Only people who decide, commit and then follow through are ever able to arrive where they wish to end up.
Simon, decided, is committed and certainly on his way.
